No foolin'
Earthian translation, for anyone who cares. This from volume 3 of the complete edition. Only one chapter so far:

Crown of Thorns

It also occurs to one that having two blogs is really kind of a bitch. -_-

Ah, but you know you loves this one...heh.

BTW, meant to ask you - does the Kingdom have your permission to host "Who Wrote The Book", by any chance? :)

I do like this one. I like the comments and the icons. Making icons to suit one's mood is a tremendously fun waste of time. But I notice it gets a heck of a lot quieter around here when I don't blather about HP. ^^;

RE: Who Wrote, you wants it, you gots it, Princess. That applies to all future S/R fic also, and of course you can have Fearsome when (WHEN, I say! NOT IF!) it gets finished.

Hehe, know thy audience, and all that. If I knew anything about manga or Japanese anime... but nope, I do not. The icons are much too fun to be allowed - it's even more fun when you have ten. And then it's not enough. We're so greedy...

I did notice that, indeed! And whoohoo! Excellent. By the way, the comment about 'all future S/R fic' sounded promising. But I may be reading into things a bit more than I should. But then again, I am an R/S slasher. Goes with the job, so to speak. Heh.

*glares* I'm jealous. But not jealous enough to shell out the bucks for a paid account.

>But I may be reading into things a bit more than I should.

The subtext of that sentence was: Kristin never knows what the hell is going to bite her on the ass next, especially not with more books coming and whatall, so unless JKR puts the whammy on me and makes them god forbid het, there may always be a danger of further dogfic.

Two blogs: yes. Yes it is. Not to mention the bizarre temptation one gets to start a third and a fourth, because ooh pretty new software and host... ^^; I know one guy who has five, including one that's updated the notepad-FTP way, and he's not even a daily blogger.

Trouble is, I haven't yet wrangled out what exactly to do with them, or how to differentiate between--I just know I don't want to ditch the other one. If I had a fic blog, this would be the fic blog, but I refuse to put dribbles and drafts in the public eye. Site updates have to go on the other one, 'cuz that's how it's always been. Probably this will be the space in which I spew my mental pondscum, and the other will be for notes of, um, substance (?). If I were cool like a Japanese fanartist I'd make this one an enikki.

5 blogs, eh. I'd need a dose of Viagra for that.

If I had time like a Japanese fanartist I'd make mine an enikki too. Where do they get it from?

I have gradually found that schtuff gets posted to lj when I want to Talk To People, Spoiler behind a cut-tag, or TMI friends-only. The pita gets used when I want to Diary, Review, or Voice Of God (no comments on thesis necessary, my mind is made up and I'm tellin' you *g*). It only looks as if I'm abandoning pitas, what's actually happening is that I don't have time to write down the essays/reviews I compose in my head, just the ramblespammage during my workday. Pondscum and duckweed indeed.

I can only presume that they draw much faster than mere mortals like us. Because they grow up in a manga-saturated milieu and are CGing before they learn to walk. Yeah. That's it.

::dies::

Don't worry about the blogs, ok? Even if lj is evil incarnate. Pondscum is still only pondscum, after all.

Worry about the important things: men with feathers, men with fur, men with scales....

Chihaya! (or should that be Michael!?)

I'll love you forever for this, you know.

The best kind! *g* Really, is there any other sort worth bothering with? (Related note on men w/ fur: have you seen Wolf's Rain? If not, you'd better get some well-connected WA person to sl0re it at you.)

Also! There's something funky going on with your blog. Not funky in a good way. That broken image is, for some reason, causing my Mac to wharf on it. I have to shut off 'load images' in the browser settings in order to get the page to load at all.

>Chihaya! (or should that be Michael!?)

Michael is pretty cool. I used to think he was just another prissy angel with a mullet, but not so.

>I'll love you forever for this, you know.

Gee, and here I thought you loved me forever already. But I love you forever for the Senfic. Commentage is forthcoming. I really might have to make a snooty elitist bastard archive sometime soon, now that a total of four people have written (English) Senfic that doesn't suck.

*brain dead from printing for 10 hours today* x_x

Yah, Michael's cool, but I dig Raphael too. :P (Oh, and just so you know, aside from the 3 volumes, there's a 4th "bekkan" called Himitsu no Hanasono, and it's all about Raphael/Michael/Gabriel(le?)/Lucifer.... u fu fu fu fu... *cashew eyes*)

Nice Kagetsuya icon. Fu.

I used to think Raphael was cool, because he Knows All and stuff, but he was a jerk in the end! Leaving--

***SPOILER!***

--Michael in jail like that, and going off to destroy earth. The big meanie! Besides, Michael has that awesome line about "dareka wo aisuru koto wa subarashii koto dakara" or whatever it was.

>there's a 4th "bekkan"

Well, shit. Somebody else can translate that. It's gonna take me long enough to get through the boring non-Kagetsuya/Chihaya parts of vol. 3.

>Nice Kagetsuya icon. Fu.

Ufufufu. Kagetsuya's always easy on the eyes.

Did you ever read the bangaihen Himitsu no Hanasono things in the original Earthian volumes?

*Himitsu no Hanasono SPOILERS*
Raphael's all messed up about Micheal, right? He's kinda what they'd be like if they walked the straight and narrow (plus Michael doesn't share his feelings, so he's screwed anyway). Heck, he went as far as to marry Gabriel(le), even though the one he's really hung up about is Michael. And there's the whole thing about Michael not wanting to attack Earth, and Raphael doing it, cos Lucifer apparently said at one point to Michael that she doesn't want him to (something to that effect).

Nyaan~ more deep thoughts when I've finished my digital design homework. -_-;

Yeah, Raphael's "doomed love" thing is cool, in an angsty sort of way. And I am *so* not convinced that Michael feels nothing, but whatever.

(Related note on men w/ fur: have you seen Wolf's Rain? If not, you'd better get some well-connected WA person to sl0re it at you.)

Oh Bell-chan...?

The Queen of Sl0rage speaks. I must obey.

Also! There's something funky going on with your blog. Not funky in a good way.

Interesting. The image is showing up for me now, though I, too, could not see it yesterday. I suspect Cyberonics of crackwhoreness. But are you using the browser of evil? That might explain the crashing Mac.

::skips off to check code and ponder rewatching the OVAs tonight. Messiah. Mmmm. Doomed, wet men with wings.::

I am equally *so* not convinced that Michael feels nothing. The vibe I always got was that he had almost as bad a thing for Raphael as vice versa--okay, maybe not quite as bad, but definitely a thing. But they're both too trapped in the iron grip of propriety to ever get anywhere. Their loss!

Urgh, I never liked the OVAs. Esp. the 3rd one. And after reading the end of the manga, I find Chihaya's behavior over Messiah in the 3rd one to be really, really, really unlikely. He's more grown up than that.

>Oh Bell-chan...?

Dunno whether Bell has it. However, she could probably get it. What with the Ethernet access and all.

>But are you using the browser of evil? That might explain the crashing Mac.

-_- I started using IE because one too many Japanese sites wharfed on Netscape 4.7. It wasn't worth the grief. But your blog wasn't crashing my Mac. The page just wouldn't load, period.

I have three blogs, I suppose. It's easy to figure out what goes in this one, since it's a ficblog for the most part. Random Thoughts is my fandom blog whereas [info]lizbyrd is my "real life" blog. I don't allow (many) RL people to read my fandom blog because I'm twitchy about that for some reason.

Anyway, the real point of this comment was to ask if my last e-mail(s) got through. 'cause I worry about being rude by seeming not to reply and all, and I know my e-mail is v. unreliable. Ehe.

Mail received! Sorry if I'm slow to reply. I often am. ^^;

I do think it's useful to make those sorts of distinctions with multiblogs: this goes here, that goes there, the other thing goes way over yonder. I just haven't quite managed to work out a similar system.
